Custom Glazing in Bali

Made-to-measure glass for the openings, noise levels and heat loads that standard panes were never designed for.

Plenty of Bali buildings were never built to a catalogue: hand-made timber frames in an older Sanur home, an arched feature opening in an Ubud retreat, a shopfront in Denpasar that is 4 cm wider than anything off the shelf. Custom glazing means the glass is fabricated to your opening rather than the opening being forced to fit stock sizes. We measure on site, have each pane cut and finished to specification, and fit it with proper seals β€” whether that is one awkward pane or every opening in the building.

Describe Your Glass Job

When Custom Glazing Is the Right Call

The most common trigger is a non-standard opening: replacing a cracked pane in a frame nobody sells any more, or glazing a design feature a builder left behind. The second is performance. If a bedroom faces a busy road or a beach club, an acoustic laminate in the same frame is usually the cheapest meaningful noise fix; if a west-facing room cooks every afternoon, solar-control glass cuts the load on the air conditioning without changing the room's look. A fogged double-glazed unit can likewise be remade to size while the frame stays β€” see our window repair guide. The frame remains, the glass changes, and the room behaves differently.

From Template to Fitted Pane

Every job follows the same path: we measure or template the opening on site, agree the glass type and thickness for its position and exposure, fabricate, then return to fit and seal. Because the glass is made to your dimensions, the quote comes after the free measurement rather than off a generic list β€” you get one fixed figure covering fabrication, fitting and sealing. Custom panes also slot into our bigger projects: a sliding or folding door with acoustic glass, or a whole-villa upgrade where each elevation gets the glass its exposure demands. For frame material background, the complete window guide is the place to start.
