Sliding or Folding — Which Fits Your Opening?

Sliding doors are the workhorse choice: panels glide past each other on parallel tracks, nothing swings into the room, and big glass comes with minimal fuss — though a parked panel always occupies part of the opening. Folding doors trade some mechanical complexity for a fully clear span: the panels concertina against the jamb, which makes bifolds the pick where the living area should merge completely with the terrace. As a rule of thumb, openings up to about three metres suit sliders, while wider spans and entertaining spaces justify a bifold set. During the free measurement we assess the opening, lintel and floor level, then quote both options where both make sense — the price is confirmed on site, never guessed from photos.
